a). Prayer Shield: Ronke Phillips
This is the Prayer Ministry of the Church; it is the powerhouse where the hands of the Pastor and the Ministers are being strengthened. It is a place where the issues affecting the Church, Community and the Nation are brought before the Merciful God the Father through God the Son with the help of God the Spirit. This prayer team connects people to Jesus Christ through effective prayers
b). Evangelism: Abigail Onyeanuna
This is an important part of the church department. It can be taken as the lifeline of the church. It is meant to spread the good news to the community and to witness to those who ordinarily go to church. The Bible says in Romans 10:14-15 how then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How Beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”
c). Follow up/Visitation:
Follow-up works closely to record all information from the new converts. This Department continually keeps track of them through phone calls and letters to ensure their growth in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
d). Sunday school: Ronke Phillips
The Sunday school is the most vital arm of classroom Bible teaching for the church. Meeting times are Sunday mornings, and aims to instruct all personnel in the truths of the Word of God. This is the time where many questions that cannot be asked during sermons are being asked and answers are supplied accordingly.
e). Ushering: Felix Akinnagbe
The ushers are assigned to maintaining order and facilitate the flow of members during church services; this includes directing people to seats, collecting tithes and all other offerings, and distributing documentation during church services. The basic function of the Ushers Board is to make contact with individual(s) entering the sanctuary, and assist in locating a suitable and comfortable seating place. The usher also assures each visitor is given a visitor’s card to fill out. This Department is a vital function to the orderliness of the church. The Ushers’ pleasantly greet members and visitors, maintain crowd control and assist in receiving tithes and offerings and any other contributions made to the Church. They also distribute the weekly bulletins and visitor/decision cards.
f). Finance/Admin: Lateef Adebayo
Our Finance department is majorly responsible for handling the church finances. The admin is in charge of the administrative work of the church. The department has direct dealing with the counting of all monies to the church and accounting for all financial contributions made. They also provide updates after each service and submit reports on the income and the expenditures
g). Children Department: Caroline Oyedeji
Here, they are responsible for the Spiritual growth and education for children ages 5-12. It teaches key Christian principles and the importance of holy and sanctified life by accepting Jesus Christ at the early stage in life.
h). Youth Departments:
This Department works with all the young people of the church from ages 12-20. They plan activities for the youth, keeping them involved in the church while fostering fellowship among the children and teaching Christian values. This department sits and plan activities for the young ones to keep them active and alive at all time in the church.
i). Natural groups- Olusola Ayodele
- Good Women Fellowship comprises of all females of the House of Mercy; they are automatically a part of this Department. This Department gathers all mothers and pregnant women. They share experience on marriage, pregnancy, and raising children. The group is dedicated to creating events that will develop God-centred, self-empowered, self-confident women who strive for excellence, and support the Church in all areas. They are virtuous women with the fear of God
- Men Fellowship- Bamidele Falaki
This group is an “all men” subgroup of the church, having as its mission to create a strong bond of brotherhood through fellowship and encouragement of the men, in a Christian manner, to take back their God-given responsibilities to their families, to God, and to the community. All men of the church, and the community, are encouraged to actively participate. This department is designed to enrich and empower the men to conduct themselves as responsible men who love the Lord and serve as examples for our young men to become God-fearing, holy young adults. All male Perfecting Faith members are inherently and automatically a part of this department. The Men’s department hosts an annual Men’s Conference, and other events.
- Singles: This comprises of young and unmarried brothers and sisters in the Church. They are singled out 4 Mercy, the Single’s Ministry is a group of members, whose marital status is ‘single, who band together to provide open and honest expressions for the concerns of the ‘marriage age.
j). Minstrel of Mercy: Franklin Onukwugha
Psalm 100:1 “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” This encompasses the Praise and Worship Team, The Praise and Worship Team is a group of Spirit filled, energetic members of the church who provides leadership of the praise service at the beginning of service and any other time as Holy Spirit leads.
